Sorry the photos aren't the greatest, I should have opened the flash, but then everything would be really bright, so I couldn't win.
Hope everyone enjoyed their canning this year, and hope you still enjoy it on through next year! :)
Thanks Hannah for ALL your help! And for all the things you've helped me to learn. Also, for putting up with me! :D

Happy 20th Birthday to YOOOUUU!! :)
Love ya, BSBT.
Hi, I stumbled across your blog through your comment on someone else's blog. You don't know me, but I noticed that you showed an apple peeler in one of the pictures. It looks like the apple peeler I saw in our local Bed Bath & Beyond store last night, which I was considering as a gift for my mom. Does yours work well? Does it save enough time and effort to be worth using? Thank you.
David
Hello David, Thanks for stopping in.
The apple peeler was my friend's that was helping us do the saucing, but it made things go a LOT faster!
So I'd say if your mom does a lot of apples and she would be willing to use it it would be of great help.
One thing though, my friend said the Suction Base ones are better for staying in place.
Hope she likes it if you get it! :)
Thanks again!
BSBT
Thank you for the quick reply! We aren't as ambitious as you folks are to make apple sauce, but my mom does make apple crisp. She might fix it more often if she had an apple peeler--she says it seems almost depressing to see how quickly it disappears after all that work to prepare it. :-) I'll plan on buying one, then (I think the one I saw yesterday even had a suction cup base).

I fully understand her feelings on it. :) Any time I make an apple pie for Church, there is the joy of knowing everyone likes it (or they say they do anyways), and it will be gone rather fast. But it is still sad to see all that work eaten up so fast. =]
The apple peeler, corer, and slicer was going to be given at least close to Christmas Day, but when I returned home from purchasing it today my mom was--guess what--just starting to peel apples.
Some of her comments (nearly word-for-word):
"This is so--[cool or incredible, I don't remember which]!"
"Bring on the second dish!"
"We can have apple crisp a lot more often!"
:) I'm glad she liked it. Let me know if you need any more help picking out gifts for her. =] Just kidding.
Hope you all enjoy and don't get sick of apple crisp. :)
