"God Is Good!"

This is more then just a story, this is real life. If you would, please be praying for this young family over in Kenya, Africa. This is my Brother-in-law Brad's, brother and his wife, and they have two young girls of their own with them. They are over there helping the children, and have many in their home with them.

"So for everyone who has been wondering what happened..... On Tuesday night a group of 4 men broke into our house. Beka heard something and thought that it was the kids, so she got up to check and met with 2 men with flashlights in the hallway, she turned around closed the bedroom door and latched it and started screaming and praying. Ryan jumped out of bed and we braced ourselves against the door they were beating on it with crowbars, machetes, sledge hammer and axe. Eventually the door came off of its hinges. When it did we used the door as a shield and pushed them all the way back down the hallway and back outside! Meanwhile Teddy kept trying to help push on the door and help his baba fight off the bad guys. Beka grabbed Teddy and ran to hide him in the kids room. The men became angry and said that they were going to finish us. They knocked Ryan out with an axe and building block on the head, and somewhere in the fight with door got his hand sliced with a machete. After they left Ryan unconscious in the hallway with the door on top of him, they went to find Beka. They started beating down the door to the girls room, they eventually got in and grabbed Beka and told her to take them to the money. One of them had already gone ahead to the room and found the computer. They trashed everything looking for money. They took Ryan's wallet and kept demanding to know how much money there was. Beka just kept saying she didn't know, but that all the money was in the wallet. They didn't even open the wallet! After they had gotten pretty much everything they went over to the bed, where Savanna was crawling across and was about to grab her, when a neighbor who had heard the commotion came and threw a rock on the roof. At that moment they left what they were doing and ran out the door over Ryan. Beka ran after them and on the way out, found Ryan. The neighbor took Ryan to a clinic where they found an ambulance to get him to the hospital. After 2 days in the hospital and 20+ stitches, Ryan is back home and recovering well. All we can say, is THANK YOU LORD!!!! We are all alive and well and have all our children- we are so blessed! We are so thankful in our hearts for God's protection upon us. God is so good! We continue to see his had continuously at work.
Please continue to pray for us.
Thank you all so much and God bless!
For HIS children, Ryan and Beka Boonstra"
